Palliative Library

The Homecoming Library

is the only specialized public palliative library in the Czech Republic.

This is a website of the specialized library of Cesta domů in Prague -The Homecoming Hospice Association.

The library exists since 2004 and has an unique book collection  focused on the care for dying as well as other related issues. It contains number of specialized publications in Czech, English and German. Many of them are unique and otherwise unavailable in the Czech Republic. The library provides an on-line library catalogue with annotative bibliographic records. The library offers and uses interlibrary loan services ISS (MVS) for the readers in Czech Republic.  

The library helps both the professional and general public as well as students of various fields of study to be well informed about hospice and palliative care. After four years of existence the library has already more than 2.000 books and over 650 registered users. More than 90.000 users visited its on-line catalogue. We have a reading room and PC with Internet connection in the library.
